Description

Working with the Quick Launch Toolbar

This way we can can have one button click access to a few different items we use

Step by Step

Launching quick launch

From the taskbar:
• Right-click over a blank area on your taskbar to display the pop-up menu.
• Select Toolbars to display the list of available toolbars.
• Select Quick Launch to place the Quick Launch toolbar on your taskbar.
From the start button:
• Click on the start button
• Right click on a blank part of the menu window
• Go to properties
• Select the taskbar tab
• Check "show quicklaunch"

If you find a bunch of stuff in quicklaunch just right click and delete everything you don't want, except show desktop

Adding Web Studio & your browsers

• From a desktop shortcut - drag the web studio shortcut & the browser shortcuts onto the quicklaunch toolbar. It's that easy.
• From the start menu- drag the icons of web studio and the browsers to the quick launch toolbar. If they are not there just run them and they'll appear in the frequently used list.

Adding the web studio forum

One click you're here!
• Open the forum in your browser
• Drag the icon next to the web address down onto the quicklaunch toolbar.

You can use any icon you want to, right click / properties and hit the change icon button... you can make your own icons (32x32) [WWW]Here

Adding a one click preview

I added a link right to my preview folder since I work on so many different projects

• Preview your project in another browser
• Navigate to the "back to the beach" folder
(To find it fast just right click on the icon in quick launch and hit the find target button)
• Open the "preview" folder and look for your project's folder.
• Open that and drag the icon next to the url onto the quicklanch toolbar.
• NOW, to preview in any of your browsers just right click on that icon and use "open with".
• Or, if you are lucky enough to have firefox just click on it to see it in FF and preview in the program for IE

I put a shortcut right to the whole preview folder also one to "untitled" for testing scripts etc.

This is what mine looks like:

Firefox
Show Desk Top
Web Studio Program
Preview folder (a star)
The WS forum (picture of me )
Untitled previews in firefox
